Griffin, a 17th Century sailing ship went missing in #LakeMichigan in September 1679 – never to be seen again. Until now possibly.

Divers and scientists retrieved a 20-foot wooden beam located in 2001 by shipwreck hunter Steve Libert. Libert has been battling the state of Michigan over custody of the site and after securing state & federal permits, he was able to raise the beam.
